who are we?
FermentHQ is the realisation of a vision of dedicated team of people for nearly a decade, along the way achieving an official designation for Launceston as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
Our brand-new fermentHQ was a key factor of our region's successful bid, a vision supported by more than 200 volunteers across the food and hospitality sectors in Northern Tasmania.

Now, through our collaborative ecosystem of makers, educators, and industry partners, we're a not- for-profit company driving product development, skills training, and sustainable solutions that reduce risk and costs for agrifood sector entrants.

We are led by a volunteer board of highly respected industry pioneers and innovators…
